A man walking through IFC mall on his way to the Central witnessed and, thankfully for the internet, filmed a mind-bogglingly disgusting scene: a kid apparently weeing into a bottle, then drinking from said bottle.
The man, surnamed Lee, said he heard a loud shrieking coming from a kid on the ground first floor of the mall at around 8pm on Monday, reports Apple Daily.
The kid, who was speaking Mandarin, was crying to use the bathroom, and the two women with him kneeled down and helped him relieve his urge into a plastic bottle.
“The mother then screwed the cap back onto the bottle but the kid grabbed the bottle back. Then she re-opened the bottle and the kid just drank from it!”
The video Lee captured does appear to show the child gulping down a liquid from the same bottle into which he urinated.
“[It only took] one or two seconds for him to pee,” Lee recalls.
“He drank from the bottle and then they left immediately… The bottle never left my sight.”
Lee said he was outraged and disgusted, adding that there was an actual toilet nearby.
According to our amazing Googling skills, there are indeed five bathrooms on IFC’s first floor alone.
Although drinking one’s own urine is indeed a cure for various ailments, according to certain unorthodox traditional Chinese practitioners, doctors advise that long-term intake can however affect the function of the kidneys and blood content.
If it makes you feel better at all, a healthy person’s urine is normally sterile.
