Grammy-nominated band Hiatus Kaiyote to perform in Hong Kong tomorrow

Since releasing just one album, neo-soul band Hiatus Kaiyote – hailing from Melbourne, Australia – have made quite a name for themselves.

After a Grammy nomination and praise from none other than Questlove, Erykah Badu, Q-Tip and Prince, the band has already gained a big stamp of approval from audiences across the world.

With the release of their highly anticipated second album, Hiatus Kaiyote will be performing live in Hong Kong for the very first time tomorrow at Loft 22 in Lan Kwai Fong, making this quite possibly the coolest thing to ever occur in LKF.

The quartet’s musical style falls into the enigmatic genre of “future soul”, described as blending poetry and polyrhythms – which could mean anything, as far as we’re concerned.
