Man slashes girlfriend’s neck then jumps from 16th floor, both in critical condition

A young man, 22, and a teenage girl, 19, are in critical condition after he slashed her neck then jumped from the 16th floor of a building this morning.

At 7am, the man waited for the girl to arrive in the lobby of Shek Ning House in Kwai Chung’s Shek Lei Estate. He reportedly wanted to repair their troubled relationship, but they started to argue instead, reports Oriental Daily.

He then allegedly took out a knife, slashing the girl’s neck and stabbing her.

The 22-year-old then reportedly dragged her into a lift, but was stopped by a lobby guard who mistook the attack for a robbery.

But the attacker seemingly succeeded in dragged the girl into another lift, which he took to the 16th floor. It is believed that he then jumped or fell to the ground floor.

The man is still in a coma and is in critical condition, while the teenage girl sustained serious injuries. Both are in hospital.

The police were called to the scene and cordoned off the area where the man fell.

Officers are currently investigating the case.
