Hong Kong police appeal for info after man’s body found floating in sea in Tin Shui Wai

Hong Kong police are appealing for information after a male body was found floating in the sea off Tin Shui Wai, New Territories.

The corpse was pulled out of the water just off Nim Wan after officers received a call at around 10:18am. They started appealing for witnesses for the first time last Wednesday.

The deceased is said to be a man aged between 40 and 50, around 1.6 metres tall and of medium build with short black hair.

He was wearing a black short-sleeved T-shirt, black trousers and a black leather belt when he was found. He had RMB10 in his possession, but no identity card.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Miscellaneous Enquiries Sub-unit of Tin Shui Wai Division on (+852) 3661-4879 or (+852) 3661-4836.

Officers say initial investigations did not reveal any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.
