Urban artist Fin DAC unveils solo exhibition in local boutique hotel

Self-taught Irish artist Fin DAC made waves earlier this year when we shared photographs of his incredible rooftop painting located “somewhere along the Dragon’s Back trail”, his second Hong Kong-based piece after the mural outside of Lovers & Friends in Soho.

Thankfully, it seems like Fin DAC loves Hong Kong as much as we love him, as he recently unveiled his solo exhibition, “The Nadeshiko” at J Plus Hotel by YOO in Causeway Bay (a partnership possibly inspired by their shared love for spontaneous CAPS).

The exhibition features 10 of Fin DAC’s best known work painted over a 3 year period, which are in his trademark style of monochromatic women with brightly coloured “superhero masks” splashed across their faces, often bearing intricate accessories or tattoos.

While we haven’t been able to check out “The Nadeshiko” since it opened last Friday, we, and all of you busy Coconauts will have ample time to see the exhibition before it ends in late February next year.

We also have it on good authority that Fin DAC is working on a new addition to Hong Kong’s street art scene, so keep your eyes peeled for more staggeringly cool work from this awesome artist.

When: Friday, Nov. 20, 2015 to Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016
