At least 300 dogs have been poisoned in the past three decades in Hong Kong – and that’s not even counting the wild animals that were likely tempted by the bait laid out by unscrupulous pet-haters. Locals who walk their dogs around Mid-Levels’ Bowen Road or Black’s Link have known for years to keep their eyes out for meat laced with herbicides or pesticides.
