Rape advocate cancels international event to ‘protect supporters’ safety’

Founder of notoriously misogynistic website Return of Kings and advocate for legalising rape Daryush Valizadeh has cancelled his “international meet-up day” following worldwide media scrutiny.

In a statement on his website, Valizadeh said the media frenzy surrounding the “tribal meetings” meant he could no longer “guarantee the safety or privacy of the men who want to attend” the event, which was due to take place at 8pm local time on Saturday.

Yeah, that’s who needs to be protected. Rape advocates. There’ll be a “save the perv” campaign anytime soon now. What must oppression feel like?

Valizadeh added that while he could not stop men from meeting privately, they would be doing so independently as the “official” Return of Kings meet-ups have all been cancelled.

The 36-year-old, also known as Roosh to his followers and Roosh the douche to us, apologised to “all the supporters who are let down by [his] decision.”

How ever will they sleep at night?

The Hong Kong faction of Valizadeh’s supporters were slated to meet in front of Wan Chai bar Joe Bananas until yesterday, after a media inquiry by the HKFP led Joe Bananas to distance themselves from the event, saying they had no idea it was even happening.
