Leonardo DiCaprio spotted checking out Art Basel in Hong Kong

Between the amFAR gala over the weekend and ongoing VIP previews of Art Basel, Hong Kong has seen its fair share of celebrities. Yesterday afternoon, Academy Award winner Leonardo DiCaprio was spotted at Art Basel’s launch at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC), after promoting The Revenant in Beijing.

According to Apple Daily, the actor kept a low profile, donning a cap and politely refusing requests for fan selfies. Unfortunately for Leo, most Hongkongers are pretty handy with a smartphone, and clandestinely taken photographs found their way onto various channels of social media in no time.

It appears that Coconauts hoping to catch the Revenant star are out of luck, though, as he reportedly ducked out of the HKCEC, bodyguards in tow, and disappeared in a seven-seater. Bloomberg’s Frederick Balfour later reported that DiCaprio boarded a private jet (loaded with goodies from Duddell’s, no less) to an unspecified location. How suave.

However, those who are still waxing nostalgic about when life was simpler can relive some early noughties glory at Paris Hilton’s DJ set at Dragon-i tonight. We wouldn’t recommend holding out hope for an EDM remix of “Sanasa“, though.
