Early this morning, an elderly man died and another was injured when their fellow nursing home resident allegedly attacked them while they were still in bed.
An elderly resident of a luxury care home in Tseung Kwan O allegedly attacked two other men at 5am, hitting them on the head with a hard object, reports the SCMP.
One man died at Tseung Kwan O Hospital, while the other victim was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he remains.
The attacker was arrested for assault and personal injury.
According to the SCMP, the care home charges up to HKD36,500 a month per resident.
