Philharmonic brings icy glory to Hong Kong with BBC’s Frozen Planet in concert

On June 3 and 4, the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra is performing music from a critically acclaimed glacial masterpiece — no, not Frozen — BBC’s landmark television series Frozen Planet.

Join conductor Benjamin Northey and the HK Phil on a chilling journey to witness the majestic landscapes of the Arctic and Antarctica while accompanied with live music in an experience that your flat screen TV simply cannot translate (no matter how high you blast your AC).

And it’s not all icebergs and snowy landscapes, either (though that’s not a problem) — children and animal-loving adults alike should be thrilled by the penguins, polar bears, and whales that will be gracing the big screen with their adorableness and magnificence in equal measure.

Frozen Planet‘s composer, George Fenton, is regarded as one of the most successful composers in the UK and has an impressive resume — studded with plenty of BAFTA and Emmy awards for added effect.

Frozen Planet in Concert has continued to impress audiences around the world with a stunning cinematic experience and musical poetry; why not grant yourself an icy treat for the eyes and ears in the midst of a blazing Hong Kong summer?
