Married man tries to take nude photos of men in changing room, gets caught when one turns out to be a cop

A 53-year-old man who has apparently “never successfully had sex” with his wife of over 20 years confessed in court yesterday that he tried to take nude photos and videos of two men — one of whom is a police officer — in the locker room of a Kwun Tong playground.

Apple Daily reports that the defendant, surnamed Luk, pleaded guilty to one count of attempting to outrage public decency, and one count of common assault.

On Feb. 12, Luk hid in a shower cubicle and reportedly tried to capture the 26-year-old off-duty officer and his 19-year-old friend on his smartphone while they were getting changed.

When confronted by his unwilling subjects, Luk reportedly kicked the officer and attempted to run away, but was eventually caught and arrested.

Apparently, this isn’t Luk’s first rodeo — the 53-year-was put on one year’s probation in 2002 for photographing boys while they were bathing, and has two more offences related to attempted lewd photography on his criminal record.

Speaking to the voyeuristic videographer at Kwun Tong Magistrates’ Court, Magistrate Don So stressed that there was nothing wrong with being gay, but Luk’s repeat offences — despite the “pornographic materials available on the market” for people of all sexual orientations — showed that he obviously enjoyed the process of secretly photographing others.

Luk will be sentenced on the 19th.
