It’s a Dog’s Life: Netizens befuddled by woman seen being walked on a leash in Stanley (VIDEO)

Paws for a minute: what is going on here?

A video shared by popular website HK01 depicts a woman walking a leashed woman and a dog simultaneously in Stanley.

The clip was reportedly filmed yesterday at around 5pm, and shows the leashed woman being led towards Stanley Plaza while crawling on all fours and wearing gloves and knee pads.

While multiple passersby can be seen doing double takes, nobody actually approaches the trio during the 44-second video – one child barely even registers the strange scene, and just runs by whirling his arms like helicopter propellers.

Dr. Au Yeung Kwok-leung, a psychiatrist, told HK01 that he believed the women could have performed the stunt for “shock value”, or perhaps as punishment for losing a game of sorts.

Referring to the gloves and knee pads, Au Yeung said “they had obviously prepared for it”, and added, “one was willing to inflict, and one was willing to suffer”.

Some commenters have mused whether the act was some kind of performance art, while others suggested the pair was engaging in sadomasochistic roleplay.
