British comedian Jimmy Carr announces first Hong Kong show this August

UPDATE: By popular demand, Carr has added two more Hong Kong shows to his tour. Tickets for his additional shows, both on August 24th, are now on sale at HK Ticketing.

Jimmy Carr, one of Britain’s most famous (and certainly controversial) working comedians, has announced his first ever show in Hong Kong this summer.

Singapore-based comedy club LA Comedy Live is bringing the funnyman to Hong Kong’s shores, hot on the heels of the wildly successful shows they put on for Margaret Cho in March.

If you don’t recognise Carr’s name, hopefully you’ll know who we mean when we say he’s the bloke who looks like Roger Federer and laughs “like a seal being molested” (his words, not ours).

The 43-year-old will be performing his newest show, “Funny Business”, to which as anyone who’s watched the routine on Netflix can attest, is really NSFW.

Carr may have made a name for himself as the affable host of panel shows like “8 out of 10 Cats”, the annual “Big Fat Quiz of the Year”, and occasionally “Never Mind the Buzzcocks”, but as a standup comedian, he has maintained a reputation for spouting dark, politically incorrect jokes over the years.

You have been warned.
