Feast on Father’s Day: The top 8 brunch and dinner specials for Dad this Sunday

Father’s Day: the holiday that the F&B and retail industries have not as successfully commercialised as they have with Mother’s Day. But they’re trying – and a little appreciation for the man who put up with all your shenanigans never hurts (though you too probably deserve some acknowledgement for putting up with a lifetime of dad jokes).

Example: “Dad, I’m hungry.” “Hello, Hungry. I’m Dad.”

Gone are the days where you could just get away with gifting dear old dad a handmade tie held together with PVA glue or a macaroni picture frame, but show your dad you care by treating him to a scrumptious Father’s Day meal (where the macaroni will at least be cooked):

Lily & Bloom: Father’s Day Specials

In what they call “a brunch for champions”, pamper your dad with Lily and Bloom’s mouth-watering menu of Artisanal Bagels, Baked Egg with Organic Kale and Mushroom Ragout, Hearty Avocado Toast, Bloom Cajun Rubbed Grilled Chicken & Buttermilk Waffle and more. Carnivorous types can drop by the carving station for helpings of ribs glazed with maple adobo sauce, while dessert-loving diners can sample doughnuts with spiced chocolate, caramel and bourbon.

And as the old adage goes, it ain’t brunch unless there’s booze, and guests can choose between cocktails such as Who’s Your Daddy (Havana, Aperol, grapefruit, passionfruit, and we guess Freudian issues), Herbal Kint (Tanqueray, Galliano, Strega, Chartreuse, absinthe) and the Salted Caramel Manhattan (Bourbon, Cocchi Rosso, salted caramel, bitters, and pineapple vinegar), all of which will only be available over Father’s Day weekend.

When: 11am – 4pm, Saturday, June 18 and Sunday, June 19
Where: Lily and Bloom, 5/F & 6/F, LKF Tower, 33 Wyndham Street, Central, Hong Kong (Google Maps)
Price: HKD395 per head

As if that wasn’t enough to excite your pops, the HKD495 price tag on this meal includes a complimentary draught beer of his liking.

While dads chug their Belgian brews, young’uns can frolic at the Kid’s Corner with various arts and crafts activities (hopefully not making any more handmade ties for you to throw out later).
