Is this the real life? Queen, with Adam Lambert as leading man, announce first ever show in Hong Kong

Iconic British rock band Queen has just announced that they will be performing with American Idol alumnus Adam Lambert as lead singer in their first ever Hong Kong show this September!

Fronted by late legend Freddie Mercury, the band found immense fame in the 1970s with power rock anthems “We Will Rock You”, “We Are The Champions” and “Bohemian Rhapsody”.

Initially influenced by other rock bands, Queen made its way up with groundbreaking pieces blending different genres and styles. To this day, the band is one of the world’s best-selling music artists with well over 150 million records sold.

Powerhouse vocalist Adam Lambert has taken on the gargantuan task of filling Mercury’s shoes since 2014, and Queen’s legacy of energetic rock music and powerful vocals lives on.

Gaining much of his prominence as a runner up of reality TV show American Idol in 2009, Lambert has won a strong following over recent years. Since launching his solo musical career, Lambert’s become the first openly gay artist to top the album charts for his 2012 album, “Trespassing”, while maintaining his dedicated activism as an advocate for the LGBT community.

In addition to shows in Japan, Singapore, Thailand, and mainland China for their Asia Tour, the reincarnated band will perform at AsiaWorld-Expo in their first-ever show in Hong Kong.
