Clip of awesome 88-year-old Hong Kong woman boxing during physiotherapy shared widely

Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee, punch like a badass elderly Hong Kong grandma. Check out this widely shared clip of an 88-year-old woman killing it at boxing if you don’t believe us:

The video, which was filmed at the Jockey Club R3 Integrated Wellness Centre in Wan Chai, shows the woman getting strapped into a ceiling hoist before throwing out a few mean punches at a seated young physiotherapist, who jokes, “Ow, you’re going to punch me to death!”

Amongst hundreds of delighted comments, one person likened the ceiling hoist to a “big jolly jumper we used to put our babies in before they could walk!”

According to the organisation’s Facebook page, the boxing exercise uses Muay Thai techniques to help patients with gait training and limb coordination.

Since the video’s release, many netizens have expressed interest in enrolling their relatives for similar physiotherapy sessions, while others have praised the exercise as a creative and fun activity for older patients.

It just goes to show that being a grandparent doesn’t mean you can’t be fighting fit!
