Police investigate station sergeant accused of sexually harassing female officers

A senior police officer is under investigation after he was accused of sexually harassing two of his female subordinates, local media reports.

According to Apple Daily, the accused is a station sergeant at Kowloon City Police Station with over 30 years’ experience in the Hong Kong Police Force. The sergeant was alleged to have made comments of a sexual nature towards two female officers, and touched one of them inappropriately.

The officers reportedly sent a letter to upper management about the harassment, but Apple Daily claims their complaints weren’t investigated as the sergeant in question was not named.

Later, another letter revealing the sergeant’s identity allegedly spurred the Kowloon City District crime unit to launch an investigation into the matter.

No arrests have been made so far.
