Police seek family of 8-year-old girl abandoned under bridge in Sheung Shui

Police are seeking the family members of an eight-year-old girl who was abandoned in Sheung Shui yesterday.

A security guard saw the girl wandering around alone underneath a bridge on Choi Yuen Estate at 5pm, according to a government statement. She was originally estimated to be around two years of age, but was later said to be eight.

Apple Daily reports, the girl identified herself as Wong Jingjing, and is mainland Chinese. 

She was admitted to Alice Ho Miu Ling Nethersole Hospital for observation, but reportedly sustained no obvious injuries.

Wong is thin, has a cleft palate, and stands at around 120 centimetres tall. She was wearing a blue and white striped T-shirt with an elephant print, dark brown shorts, and black shoes. She was not carrying any form of identification.
