Sud-sational! Free Beer Weekend returns to Hong Kong this month

Want free beer? Of course you do!

Luckily, Hop Leaf is bringing back its strangely popular Free Beer Weekend on October 14 and 15, which will see the craft brew importer join forces with three bars to give away – that’s right, GIVE AWAY – three whole kegs of free beer per location. That’s nine kegs total if, like us, you tend to stop counting after the second keg.

Time to start limbering up your liver and crowd squirming skills.

Kick start the Free Beer Weekend on Friday Oct. 14 at Mong Kok watering hole the TAP The Ale Project, which will offer free beers from 6pm until the kegs run dry (so probs about 6:04pm). Crafty varieties on offer will include North Coast Russian Imperial Stout, Mikkeller Get Wit or Die Tryin’, and Tuatara Aotearoa Ale Pale Ale.

Keep the momentum going on Saturday Oct. 15. The free beer starts pouring at 2:30pm at SoHo mainstay The Globe. Here, you’ll find Epic Hopulent IPA, Anderson Valley GT Gose, and To Øl You Shall Nut Pass Brown Ale – props to the namer of the latter.

Afterwards, stumble to the Roundhouse Taproom, also in SoHo, which will be sloshing out Stone IPA, Deschutes Black Butte Porter, and Baird Single-Take Session Ale from 6pm onwards.

Hop Leaf is putting on this simply beerific event for the second year running to show appreciation for the support they’re received from the local craft beer community, which – seeing as craft beer is practically impossible to avoid in HK – totally includes us all!

Thanks Hop Leaf. This really makes it all worth while.
