Experience bizarre, political theater next month in an actual theatre.
It’s a musical, it’s a period political drama, it’s “2475,” a retelling of the travails of Prime Minister Pridi Banomyong, whose revolution began Thailand’s modern era as a democracy in 1932, told vicariously through his wife Phoonsuk Banomyong.
With her son unjustly tossed into jail and her husband forced into exile, will Phoonsuk be strong enough to cope?
Staged by Democrazy Theatre Studio, “2475” is a musical described as a “love story in the revolutionary time” and will be accompanied by live, traditional instrumentation.
The show starts at 7pm Thursdays through Sundays from Sept. 18 to Oct. 5 on the fourth floor of the Bangkok Arts and Culture Centre.
Tickets are THB500 and can be reserved at 081-441-5718.
