Save Sai Wan from becoming a food court by hitting the beach this Sunday!

If your plans for tomorrow are filled with SantaCon debauchery, sort out your Sunday Funday (Dec. 14) as well with another round of merriment, albeit slightly more family-friendly. Head on over to the (hopefully) sunny shores of Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung for the Sai Wan Village Beach Party!

Take in the pristine sand, clear water and beautiful waterfalls and get generally sandy with some outdoor beachy fun between 11am and 4pm. You’ll get to try your hand at surfing, sea kayaking and body boarding – if you can bear to get in past your ankles – all for free (yay!), courtesy of Surf Hong Kong!

But obviously the most important thing is that you think about and notice all that leafy green goodness. Soak it up, and take part in the public discussions and stop our (silly) government from building a dreaded food court. We’ve got enough of those, who needs more?

Show your Sai Kung love, scoff away at the local restaurants, boogie down on the beach and grab all your friends for some sun, fun and a whole lotta tree-huggin’ do-goodin’.
